Can you believe half year is already gone?! Time flies by so fast!

Beginning of this year, I purposed to be accountable to each resolution that I had set for 2017. They were not new goals, just some fossil  procrastinated dreams that got tucked away for one reason or another. I promised myself that , even if it was just one thing, I would pick it up and do it well!

The top three that featured on my year’s resolution were:

  • Begin my blogging journey
  • Read a book bi-monthly
  • Achieve holistic fitness by adopting a healthier lifestyle

I recently took some time out to take stock of my progress, and possible snugs that I may have hit.

First resolution is done!! yeeeiy me!!!! but this is just the beginning. I have a whole lot to learn and create and so excited for what lies ahead. Nothing beats having this platform to share my purpose,  passions and challenges with you. I yearned for this but cringed at the thought of failing. That’s until a friend recommended the infamous book ‘ The monk who sold his Ferrari’ by Robin Sharma. It spoke to me like no book ever has. Basically my biggest learning from the book:

Live your life, take chances, be crazy. Don’t wait because right now is the oldest you’ve ever been and the youngest you’ll be ever again.

Second resolution. I can say I have come a long way. From reading zero books to an average of a book a month! This is a habit I see myself getting addicted to. When reading, the world becomes my oyster. I indulge and get lost in a whole new world where the story is mine to re-create with my  imagination. I also get to build my vocabulary which is imperative for any writer.

Third resolution . Let’s just say this is work in progress  (Isn’t it always 🙂 ) Thank God I have the 2nd half of the year to redeem myself! I am not where I want to be physically but I am definitely not where I was. I definitely owe it to myself to commit more.

Well there you have it! Not so bad right? I would love to hear from you too, do you feel you have lived up to your resolutions thus far?Let me know:)
